I am writing to you requesting your support with regard to years of abuse while I served on active duty in the United States Air Force at Seymour Johnson AFB, NC.

The hazing started in 2000 shortly after I was stationed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. I was attacked by a fellow troop TSgt Farr with a knife aim at my throat. After arriving to a routine disturbance the on scene supervisor began to question what took me so long getting on scene, after explaining to him I was making sure I had the address correct and being new to the neighborhood I'd got there as soon as I could. Not good enough he answered. Then on my way to my car I noticed him coming up behind me pulling a knife from his pocket. With all the witnesses and bystanders stood around I figured someone would have done something. As far as I know nothing was. I never heard a word about it.

The same fellow Noncommissioned officer was later given a step promotion to MSgt, and he continued his abuse i.e. pointing his M-16 machine gun at me sometimes pulling the trigger this accrued at the firing range in front a civilian law enforcement officer MSgt Prince of the 916th Security Forces Squadron located at SJAFB. Not much was done internally that I knew of lead me to believe and maybe others to also believe if they did the same somehow there was some reward in it, anyway. I remember one particular incident whereas I was TDY (Temporary Duty) to Nellis Air Force Base attending exercise Silver Flag a female airman turned toward me during live M-16 firing and shot at me and nothing was done, to may surprise the cadre began screaming at me.

I experienced a period of attempts at my life from fellow airman who I believe made attempts to fatally poisoned me. I had been using decon rat poison at home during that time, trying to get rid of a pest problem. I recognized the familiar smell oozing from my coffee or health drinks I commonly brought to work, but thought it was maybe just residual. Usually I'd drink water late morning a habit from deployments remembering to always hydrate, a few times I'd experience a shortness of breath along with sharp pains in my chest. One particular day while I was posted with TSgt Jenkins of the 916th Security Forces Squadron. We were Flight Line security guarding the parked F-16's, I had my usual my morning coffee and around midday I had my bottle of water. I began choking and gasping for air TSgt Jenkins put his foot up next to my face like he going to kick me and said don't you die on me.

I returned from Iraq and shortly had a reoccurring experience, the feeling of tightness in my chest, choking, and gasping for breathe. Usually after I got on post and after drinking my mourning coffee. So, one day I intentionally left my coffee mug on a window ledge in the weapons armory checking back over my shoulder now and than; I noticed a TSgt Isola of the 916th Security Forces Squadron standing over my cup with one hand in his pocket asking who's cup is this smiling at me. I figured he probably new who or it was him putting poison in my drink, anyway I discontinued bringing my mug in to work.

While deployed in Krygyzstan I was being attacked with razor at night whilst I slept. It went for months until one day I awoke to find Senior Airman Walter Clayton who slept next to me sitting on his cart holding a shaving blade. Feeling a burning sensation on my forehead, I went into the restroom to see what it was. I found my hair line had been cut back into my head. Unusual cuts such as a disfigured forehead hair line and mustache lead the shift supervisor to inquire which lead to a formal statement, on Air Force Form 1169. But you know what they say, what goes Temporary Duty, stays TDY.

Airman First Class Herman Velareo who I would have never thought to do this tried to scare me by pulling my ASP or Baton attempting to strike me in various places, this went on for a few minutes until SSgt Jennifer Fischer hollered for him to stop.

Lastly Christmas Eve 2004 shortly after a exercise on the flight line had an Altercation with a troop named SSgt McQuarrie, whom I had numerous disagreements in the past. He lashed at me slapping his fist in my face. McQuarrie being armed with his M-16 Machine Gun I wasn't taking any chances as what he might do next.

I grabbed my 9mm from my holster and took aim, shouting at him about not taking any more. Needless to say I was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, and later the same evening admitted to Wayne Memorial hospitals mental ward for a week.

After the Christmas Eve incident I was reassigned to Seymour Johnson AFB Visitors Center my superiors felt it was best due to the problems I had experienced. And just when I thought my troubles had ended, I believe I was poisoned by a civilian employee working for Sec Tec a contract security company working on Seymour Johnson AFB.

A Sec-Tec employee officer Sabrina Thomas approached me promoting a healing tonic that was known for getting rid of several kinds of illnesses. She bought some to work one day asking if I’d wanted to try it, not wanting to seem paranoid I drank some. A co-worker gave me that O my God look, but she insisted it was not poisoned when I asked. Sabrina validated the tonic by telling me another co-worker had drank some just before I did, so everything was fine.
I brought the remainder of the tonic from her and took it home, I drank some the next day and became sick to my stomach. But I still wasn’t sure of my illness, or if it was the flu. Another co-worker had the flu all week. I poured the remainder of tonic out not thinking of evidence. Anyway, a week or so past and one day I was joking with another Sec Tec co-workers about Sabrina’s tonic when the co-worker commented that I indeed was poisoned.

Letter from North Carolina Senator Elizabeth Dole: I have forwarded your concerns to the department of the Air Force requsting their immediate attention and report back to me.

Evaluation Performaance report front side section five reflects refferal rating, which refers to "HOW WELL DOES RATTE SUPERVISE/LEAD. This was changed after a buttal report was submitted. Originally section four was the refferal catagory which refers to "HOW IS RATEE'S CONDUCT ON/OFF DUTY".

Evaluation Performance Report back side section four reflects a low rating due to the 24 December 2004 incident.

Security Forces official report on incident 24 December 2004.

Unfavorable Information File I place on it for 12 months.

Letter of Reprimand I recieved for the 24 December weapons incident.

Sir,
This information was forwarded to Det 216, Seymour Johnson AFB, NC for further investigation.

Dear OSI:
I am forwarding to you a message received on Air Force Link, in our ?Letters? section. This is typically a place where Airmen and others can publicly voice concerns of general, AF wide appeal. I am guessing the writer did not know where to submit.
Thank you.
